Covestro announced today that together with partners, it will donate nearly RMB 1.4 million worth of urgently needed supplies for emergency rescue and disaster relief in various parts of China’s Henan province affected by severe floods.
After the flooding hit, Covestro took the initiative to learn about the situation in the disaster-stricken areas and their needs for relief supplies, while contacting customers and logistics partners to facilitate the shipments of these supplies to receivers directly. The donated supplies included rechargeable emergency lighting, headlights, LED flashlights, power banks, goggles, mattresses and memory foam pillows, and bottled water, and went to the charity, medical and health departments in Zhengzhou, Xinxiang, and Huaxian. Goods are arriving starting today.
