Mid-Year Meeting: NEnzy moves into the Next Round

The first half year meeting was hosted at the Covestro headquarters at the Chempark in Leverkusen. This meeting was an opportunity for the NEnzy core team members and other interested participants to discuss the first results and relevant topics for future activities.

At the beginning, the Ph.D. fellows and Covestro experts delivered progress updates on their scientific and technical work. Following the regular organizational meeting, Prof. Ulrich Schwaneberg gave an interesting presentation on protein engineering. Finally individual mentoring sessions were organized between the members of the junior research group and the mentors Thomas Vössing (Project Leader at COV), Rolf Albach (COV Science Fellow) and Prof. Ulrich Schwaneberg (Head of Institute of Biotechnology at RWTH Aachen).
