Kanagawa Research & Development Center

Japan Fine Coatings Co., Ltd. opened a R&D center for fiber optical materials under the name ‘Kanagawa Research & Development Center (KRDC)’ in October 2021.

At KRDC professionals are in charge of chemical synthesis, compounding, and physical properties- and application evaluation with the objective of designing and developing UV curable resins which are used as the coating material for optical fibers.

KRDC is located in the Kanagawa Science Park (KSP), which is an urban science park with good access to Tokyo and Yokohama.

In collaboration with other Covestro global R&D centers, including the US, Taiwan, and the Netherlands, KRDC will contribute to meeting even better the high demands and expectations of our Japanese customers.
